Hey, y’all! I’m Marion—a Texas-raised, wig-wearing, scalp-loving, straight-talking mom of three, wife, and 22-year veteran in the world of cosmetology. I’m also a trichologist in training, working my way toward mastering the art and science of healthy hair and scalps. Life’s thrown me a few curveballs, but I’m still standing—and, Hon-Tea, I’m here to share what I’ve learned.

In November 2020, I was diagnosed with Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia (CCCA), a type of scarring alopecia that slowly attacks the hair follicles, making the crown thinner and weaker over time. Add to that seborrheic dermatitis, bromhidrosis (look it up if you dare!), and stress that loves to show up uninvited, and let’s just say my hair journey has been anything but smooth.

But here’s the thing: these challenges didn’t break me—they gave me purpose. My diagnosis pushed me to dig deeper, to educate myself, and to take control of my health from the inside out. I learned that healthy hair starts with understanding your scalp and taking care of your body like it’s your best friend. Nutrition, scalp care, and knowing when to let go of stress? Game-changers.

Of course, it hasn’t always been easy. Back in 2019, I hit rock bottom with a mental health breakdown that spiraled into digestive issues, triggered my eating disorder (Emetophobia) and even anorexia nervosa. But I fought back with changes to my diet, supplements, and a whole lot of self-care, eventually regaining my health, my weight, and my peace of mind. Now, I’m on a mission to turn my experiences into resources for others walking a similar path.

These days, I’m all about transparency and empowerment. I share my journey—not to play perfect, but to keep it real—and to give others the tools and knowledge they need to reclaim their confidence and care for their hair and scalp. Whether it’s tips on managing alopecia, product recommendations, or my thoughts on why you should never skimp on a silk scarf at bedtime, I’m here to help.

So, welcome to my little corner of the internet. Whether you’re dealing with hair loss, scalp drama, or just want to understand what’s going on up there, I’ve got you. I hope you’ll join me on this journey, learn a little, laugh a lot, and leave feeling like you’ve got a handle on your hair health.

Because here’s the truth: your hair is part of your story, but it doesn’t define you. Confidence starts from within—and I’m here to help you find it.
